The Bible by God My first favorite book because it has everything: action, romance, adventure, mystery, history, angst, drama, geneology, mathematics, poetry, song, advice, comedy (God does have a sense of humor), tragedy, supernatural phenomenon and lots more that I can't think of at the moment.

A Wrinkle in Time by Madeliene L'Engle is one of the best books ever written because it is so totally original. In all of my readings (and believe me when I say I've read books into the thousands) I have never found anything quite like it. Well, there may have been two or three, but that's all. I love this story because it starts with a normal girl in an everyday kinda life. Then something wierd happens which triggers other events and she finds herself on an adventure with her little brother (who happens to be a child genius) and a boy from school (who happens to be kind, sensible, smart, and good looking [what a combination! let me tell you] ) whom she only started talking to the day before. Along the way they meet three deceased stars, a happy medium, and some really nice, blind yeti-like things. They battle evil, rescue her father (who had been missing), and find out that Love is stronger than evil. (well duh *hits forehead*) And then they all live happily ever after. Disney and ABC put out a TV movie of this book a little while ago and I really loved it. It wasn't exactly like the book but it was amazingly close and they chose the cast well. The only thing the book has over it is that the book has so much more.

The Acorna series by Anne McCaffrey is one of my absolute favoritest Sci Fi/Fantasy series. I love unicorns so reading about the adventures of a unicorn girl is absolutely fantastic (and I do mean that in every sense of the word). And Anne McCaffrey does wonderful writing. She does have help with the series; Margaret Ball or Elizabeth Scarborough help out in each one. Acorna isn't just beautiful, she's smart, kind, brave, and occassionally funny, though a couple of her friends usually take care of that last part. She travels all over the galaxy and makes all kinds of friends, and defeats some really evil enemies. The best book yet is when they travel to the homeworld of a friend where they have high regard for cats. Acorna gets to talk telpathically with the cats. I love it when caats talk in stories, which reminds me...

The Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia C Wrede is another good series because I love dragons. The princess is far from wimpy, the prince is not and airhead, the dragons are in the best way ,Dragons, and you are safe from sorcerers as long as you have a bucket of soapy water with a hint of lemon handy at your side. With all that said I'll leave you to find the rest out for yourself. You know you want more. So go read it already. Oh yes, and my favorite book in the series is the third one cuz there's lots of talking cats and when a cat speaks you always listen cuz it will either be something extremely important or wise or totally hilarious. And speaking of dragons... *chuckles at the bad pun because you will have to read the book now to find out what I'm talking about*

Dragon's Bait by Vivian Vande Velde I absolutely Love! There's a girl and no one likes her because her father died so they leave her in a field tied to a pole to be dragon's bait (no surprize there^_^). But, when the dragon comes he doesn't eat her. Instead they end up talking and they decide to travel together. They end up helping some people in another town, but the girl is always thinking about taking revenge on the people who left her to die. They decide to go back and get even, but in the end she can't do it because she's better than them so she goes off to live with the dragon. I won't tell you the best part cuz then you won't read it and you really need to read it if you love dragons at all.

Lombardo's Law by Ellen Wittlinger A sweet love story about a girl who loves writing and old movies and wants to fall in love with a boy who will get his drivers liscence before she does. Then a family moves in across the street. The girl is a fluffy, airheaded, ditz and the boy is an eighth grader. Incoming. Lombardo's Law #1: No one I like could possibly like my sister. Even though the boy is two years younger and three inches shorter she finds herself liking his company and she finds he loves old movies just as she does. And so begins the start of a very interesting friendship. As they grow older and wiser along comes Law # 2: When you've been a jerk, act like a jerk. That scene was just so sweet. It still brings a tear to my eye *sniff sniff*. After that there's a lot of denile, modiness, and general teen angst. Then a really great thing happens: they kiss. That is the beginning of the end and with it comes the last, and my favorite, Law # 3: A fall from a balcony deserves a kiss. Read, enjoy and be happy. The author also wrote another awesome book (which is just too good to be put into trivial words) entitled Noticing Paradise. These two have I loved through cold and heat through rain and sun. Read them and love them as I have.

The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth George Speareis one of my few favorite historical fictions. A girl named Kit, who has lived amid luxury and freedom on the sunny island of Barbados, is suddenly an orphen who finds herself on the coast of New England with strange relatives and lonely and dreary days ahead. Then she makes friends with an old woman who lives by the pond (you know the one). People think the woman is a witch so they have suspicions about Kit becoming a witch herself. They do this because they don't understand her and are afraid of her because she is beautiful and foriegn. They are about to burn her at the stake when someone comes to her rescue. I won't tell you; you'll just have to figure it out for yourself. I really liked this book, but then I have met very few books that I did not like. I will just say, if you don't have the patience for historical fiction then don't read it.

The Only Alien on the Planet by Kristen D. RandleWhat can I say about it? It's different than any other book I've ever read. It's funny, it's poignant, it's sad, it's intense in it's delivery. There isn't a boring minute in the whole book. There may be a slow moment but never a boring one. It's about a girl who all of a sudden has to move and she has to adjust to this move mostly on her own. She soon makes a couple of friends, and then she sees him, the most beautiful boy she's ever seen. She soon finds out that there's something wrong with him. He doesn't talk at all, he doesn't look at anyone, and no one can touch him. It kind of scares her, until she needs his help. For he is a genius and her math skills have been found wanting. Throughout the book she keeps trying to be friends with him, trying to get him to talk, to come out of his shell. Then one night, an absolutely incredulous thing happens. She, who knows that if she touches him he's going to lose it, she does something very desperate, to wake him up, as it were. It's a little thoughtful and ponderous after this, but never boring. And there are always bits of humor placed just when you need them. I just love this book soooo much. *sighs in contentment*
